This might seem like a simple question. Is a 25 period exponential moving average on a 4 hour chart a 25 day EMA or a 25 hour EMA?

It is a 25-Bar Exponential Moving Average. Each of those bars is 4-hours (actually I think there would be a 2.5 hour bar at the beginning of the day and a 4 hour bar at the end of the day).

Ok thanks, I have realized if I were to follow the buy sell oscillation on forex as price crossed through this EMA or any MA I would suffer more losses than gains or close to equal. So I have to put a margin in between with Bolinger Bands.

Why does the value of my 50-day moving average change when I go from a Daily chart to a Weekly chart?
All indicators are plotted using periods. The period changes with the time frame on the chart. A 50 period moving average on a Daily chart is a 50-day moving average. A 50 period moving average on a weekly chart is a 50-week moving average.
I found this in the help section of tc2000 I had the same question. So this would sugest that if you use the 200 day on a daily than it would be 40 on the weekly chart.
