I shared a chart with Colored Bbands setting period 10, Stdev 0.8
TDST support/resistance lines
Tema Crossover of Tema5 and Tema34
DPO period 14 + colored Bbands
Conditions:
Mobo up, when price closes above top Bband when price close 1 bar ago was either between bands or below lower band
Mobo down, when price closes below lower Bband, when price close 1 bar ago was either between bands or above top Bband.
Tema up, when Tema 5 crosses up Tema34
Tema down, when Tema5 crosses down Tema 34
DPO up , whenDPO closes above top Bband when price close 1 bar ago was either between bands or below lower band.
DPO down, when DPO closes below lower Bband, when price close 1 bar ago was either between bands or above top Bband.
check out the results when all 3 up or down arrows line up, and the vicinity of price compared to the TDST support/resistance lines.
anyone with some modifications or suggestions, please reply.
thx
P.

don't run this chart, it crashes SF. I just tried loading it off a "new layout" and it crashes.
sorry, I guess it has something to do with the conditions being referenced by the TSDT lines.
I'll work on it, and post when it's ok.

Actually twice your newest chart upload crashed my SF5. First time locked SF5 up and I had to exit it via Task Manager. Second time BAM it took SF5 out of memory. SF5 disappeard from my desktop.
I did notice your platinum tabs were showing (I run Gold). I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
Briefly saw quite a purty chart though

I think it should run on gold. I'm not referencing intraday data.I do know this layout is cpu intensive.

Got a Question P. I was looking for a condition which might catch all 3 up arrows at the same time. Would you have such a critter? Or how would you scan for a condition as I see happening with AMZN on 9/1/2010 ?
This is quite the chart. I admire your knowledge. Lots of stuff to learn in here. Like TEMA and DPO. I have no idea what they are. And here I thought that at 68 I was a know-it-all.

Well I created a Combo Condition with your first 3 conditions on the left to attain my 3arrow BUY scan. That works fairly well. Since I trade only out of my IRA I never short so did not work on the short side of it all.
I suppose from there eyeballing the results would work ok unless you can suggest an addition which would improve the scan? To find charts which had been trading sideways or slightly down for awhile before breaking out might be a little more ideal?

I think my style of trading differentiate from yours that I am only interested in short, high momentum trades. I take advantage of these short impulsive moves by trading the options. I don't usually hold a trade longer then a couple of days, sometimes just a matter of hours. I am constantly adjusting my scans based on the overall market conditions. browsing through charts with the indicators in this chart you can find high probability trades. there are many other combinations then just a combination of the 3 up or down arrows.
for example I bought CPNO Dec 30 calls, on 11/12 for about $0.60. now trading around $1.25. The up arrows were in sequence, But CPNO bounced of the 50DMA. I did sell 1/2 position , and hold the rest until we see some exhaustion signs.
there always will be a fairly large portion of eyeballing required, but I try to minimize this with my scans as much as possible. allows me to do more trades in shorter period of time.
another scan which has high probability is one where price breaks up through TDST-resistance, preferably with price slightly above either the 50 or 200DMA.
many, many profitable examples of that in the past weeks.

I love the coloured BB. However, even with your sample I have no idea how to create them from scratch (my knowledge of block diagrams is ZERO).
Pthegreat, if you have a few minutes to spare, could you please give some details/steps to do in block diagram to get coloured BB from scratch.
Thanks
