Hello everyone,
I haven't quite figured out how to find a channeling stock using RealCode.
Could you
a) tell me how I can set RealCode to return a list of channeling stocks
or
b) tell me a stock that is in a channel as we speak
Thank you,
Burak

better go over to stockfinder. I tried real code but don't have the patience or smarts for it. Plenty of bollinger band posts at TC.

Have you watched the video on Scan For Stocks Bouncing in a Lateral Channel forums.worden.com/Default.aspx? Its for Telechart but the PCF's should be easy to convert to Stockfinder.

So when I run the scans and sorts from the LateralChannel video mentioned above, two examples I found that fit the pattern: PAP (top resistance line $4.95, Bottom support line: $3.85) and GLNG (top resistance line $13, Bottom support line: $10.75). There are probably be better examples from the list, maybe look for some indicator showing a divergence. PAP has a MACD-H divergence showing. Sorry, no pretty charts today.

What kind of channel do you like your stocks in? Bollinger Bands, Donchian, Keltner, something around a moving average, English? There are too types to guess at.
